During this training course, you will be able to understand the different modules of ISMS, including ISMS policy, procedures, performance measurements, management commitment, internal audit, management review and continual improvement. After completing this course, you can sit for the exam and apply for the “PECB Certificate Holder in ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation” credential. A PECB Foundation Certificate shows that you have understood the fundamental methodologies, requirements, framework and management approach. There are no formal prerequisites for taking an ISO/IEC 27001 Foundation course, but some things to consider include: Background: An interest in or background in information security or service management can be helpful. Technical documents: The ability to read and understand technical documents in English is important because course materials and exams are usually in English. Professional experience: While not required, some prior experience in an IT or data security role can be beneficial.
